Soak up the sunshine during our Summer Solstice Dinner on the Patio with guest Chef Brandon Miller.
To celebrate the coming of summer, Twisted Roots Wine will host a
Summer Solstice Dinner on its patio on June 24, with a dinner prepared
by renowned chef Brandon Miller with wine paired by Twisted Roots
winemaker Josh Ruiz.
The dinner will be held from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at the
Twisted Roots Tasting Room. Miller will prepare a seasonal meal to complement the simple, yet elegant
winemaking style of Ruiz. Space is very limited for this special, once-a-
year event. Miller's menu will feature two appetizers, a roasted eggplant puree
crostini and a summer squash flatbread with Gruyere cheese, and a
fresh salad of heirloom tomatoes and watermelon marinated in mint
simple syrup topped with a shaved dry and piquant Italian cheese
such as Pecorino Romano.
The main course will be a Twisted Roots red wine (either Cabernet or
Petite Syrah) braised osso bucco accompanied by wild arugula and
citrus gremolata and a summer truffle risotto. The finale will feature
Albariño-marinated summer fruit topped with crumbled coconut
macaroon and whipped crème fraiche.
